As of February 2009 Outdoor Discoveries has been accepted as a National Training Provider (NTP) with Australian Canoeing (AC).
We are planning on running a White Water Canoeing Guide Course each year over winter - there will be a three day training only program with assessment taking place a few weeks later. This course will only run if there if sufficient demand. All training and assessment days are river level dependent. You must be a Flat Water Canoeing Guide or an experienced whitewater paddler to enrol - there may be a skills recognition day available for those who are competent but not registered.
Course Structure - Whitewater Canoeing Guide
You will be trained and assessed to meet the requirements of a Canoeing Guide - Whitewater with Australian Canoeing. You may be able to apply to receive a Statement of Attainment for the units that you are found competent in. These units together with a current first aid qualification and a logbook of recent guiding experience will allow registration with Australian Canoeing for the award.

- Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th August 2018.
